Tesla-style retractable door handles will be banned in China

Retractable door handles, popularized by Tesla, are now found on many electric vehicles. However, if automakers want to do business in China, they will have to adjust their approach to handling door handles in the country. As noted by the outlet  Autoblog , under new draft rules  released  by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, all vehicles in the country weighing under 3.5 tons must have interior and exterior handles with a mechanical emergency release. SEE ALSO: Apple removes popular gay dating apps from China's App Store This move will effectively ban all retractable EV door handles on new cars released in the country. The ban goes into effect on January 1, 2027. Regulators didn't have to work too hard to make their case that electric-only retractable door handles are a safety issue. A recent Bloomberg analysis tied 15 auto deaths directly to Tesla's doors not opening. Although many EVs feature mechanical releases within the vehicle, ther...

Bloomberg's Apple insider, Mark Gurman, has  reported  that Apple plans to release a foldable smartphone next year. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reported that the device is real, will be released next year, and Apple is already having trouble building enough of them to meet the expected demand. And now, YouTuber Jon Prosser is sharing visuals and exact specs for the device in his most recently released video . In a video posted to his FrontPageTech YouTube channel just days before Christmas, Prosser showcases 3-D renders of what he says the foldable iPhone will look like. In the video, Prosser focuses on one of the major issues for Apple that kept them from previously releasing a foldable iPhone: The crease down the middle of the foldable screen.  According to Prosser, Apple has devised a solution to this issue by utili...

Heated Rivalry stars teased as Quinn’s latest audio erotica additions

Capitalizing on the massive success of the hit Canadian Crave/HBO Max series Heated Rivalry , audio erotica app Quinn has been teasing the show’s leads, Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, as its newest star collaborators. SEE ALSO: The glorious, easy-to-miss moments in Heated Rivalry's finale The rollout began on Friday with a series of cryptic teasers. The first featured hockey gear laid out in a recording studio , soundtracked by the instantly recognizable t.A.T.u. hit "All the Things She Said." A follow-up clip leaned further into the mystery, showing confused production staff questioning why the only food on set was tuna melts, followed by blurred shots, quick cuts, and what appeared to be cue cards — all but confirming the involvement of the Heated Rivalry stars. Taken together, the clues strongly suggest Quinn is preparing to have Williams and Storrie record audio content drawn from Heated Rivalry , the Rachel Reid novel that inspired the series and the ...

The glorious, easy-to-miss moments in Heated Rivalrys finale

Spoilers ahead for the season one finale of HBO Max's Heated Rivalry : That's a wrap for the first season of Heated Rivalry , the come-from-nowhere Canadian romance that quickly leapfrogged to the top of HBO Max's streaming series list. There is not yet a critical consensus on Rotten Tomatoes for episode six, but the ultra-romantic, (mostly) languid finale certainly captured hearts on social media, with plenty of meme-able moments between NHL lovebirds, Shane and Ilya. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. After their fellow player Scott Hunter (François Arnaud) very publicly came out, Ilya decides that he will accept Shane's offer to spend a few weeks at the latter's secluded Canadian cottage (this cottage is more like a mansion in the woods, but it's good to be a professional athlete). Once at their private compound, some initial awkwardness between the besotted duo gives way to lovemaking, meal prep, barbecues, a...

When does the Heated Rivalry season finale drop on HBO Max?

Heated Rivalry , HBO Max's gay hockey series that has everyone I know losing their minds, is finally — and sadly — coming to an end. But don't worry: It's just the finale of Season 1. We still have at least two more seasons of hockey smut to look forward to. The Canadian import from streamer Crave, based on Rachel Reid's queer romance novels, burst onto screens in late November and wasted no time earning its cult obsession status. The series delivers on every front: scorching chemistry between rising stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie; refreshingly honest depictions of LGBTQ athletes; polished production and strong performances; and, of course, an abundance of unapologetically horny encounters that have launched a thousand group chats. SEE ALSO: Why is the sex in 'Heated Rivalry' so hot? The obsession isn't just anecdotal, either. By the second week of December, Heated Rivalry had climbed to become the third most-watched series on HBO Max, ...

Redactions in Epstein files viewable by copying and pasting, reports say

Internet sleuths easily bypassed the Justice Department’s redactions in the recently released cache of files on disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to the Guardian and the New York Times . While some used Photoshop to get around the redactions, others simply copied and pasted the redacted text into a word processing document to reveal the hidden sections, the reports found. The easily uncovered redactions seemed to indicate the files were "hastily censored," according to the Times . SEE ALSO: 'SNL' Weekend Update goes after redacted Epstein files CNN reported on Tuesday that the DOJ was scrambling to find volunteers to help redact the latest files on Epstein. Per the report, a lawyer in the Southern District of Florida's U.S. Attorney’s Office emailed the entire district on Tuesday, requesting help with an emergency request from the Deputy Attorney General’s office.
